Feedback
Providing health care is rewarding but can also be stressful. We appreciate your compliments and encouragement.
If you experience problems or have constructive suggestions for how we can improve our service, we wish to hear from you. We take all problems seriously and are keen to resolve any difficulties you may have.
The Health Services Commissioner (1300 582 113) can assist with facilitation in these matters.
You may email the Practice Manager on admin@parkviewclinic.net or complete a complaints or feedback form. Ask reception for a form if you would like to provide a complaint or feedback.
Our clinic welcomes feedback from patients as part of our continuous improvement strategy. If you feel an issue has not been resolved by us, please call the Victorian Health Services Commissioner on 1300 582 113
Appointments
Standard appointments are booked at 10-minute intervals. If your GP of choice is not available, you may be offered another GP or advised when your GP is next available. Urgent appointments will be accommodated
During Covid 19 restrictions, you MUST call from the car park before entering the clinic.
If you suspect you have any cold or flu or Covid 19 like symptoms, please do not enter the clinic. The GP will have a phone consultation with you first before advising on your next step. No mask no entry rule applies.
Please call reception to make an appointment or book through our online booking service.
For complex or multiple medical problems and Care Plans we recommend you book a longer appointment. This includes employment examinations and counselling. If unsure, check with our receptionists.
No Covid-19 testing is conducted at Parkview.
After Hours Care
Urgent care is provided through our locum service, National Home Doctor Service. You can phone them on 13 74 25 or go to their website www.homedoctor.com.au.
Be sure to let them know you attend Parkview Clinic and we will receive faxed information about the consultation the next working day.
In an acute emergency, please ring 000 for an ambulance.
For less acute emergencies, and cases of accident, after-hours care is available at local public hospitals such as Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong, and Box Hill Hospitals; and at the 24 hour A&E departments of private hospitals such as the Valley Private and Knox where a facility fee and consultation fee are charged.
Referrals and repeat scripts
It is a Medicare requirement that a patient must attend a consultation with a Doctor in order to have a referral created for a specialist or to obtain a script.
Please request the consultation in good time before your specialist appointment, and before your tablets “run out” – it is difficult to fit in a patient at short notice unless medically urgent.
Test Results
We recommend you have an appointment with your doctor for test results. Results are not given by our reception staff, who do not know your medical history and are not trained to interpret results. Your doctor will advise if you will receive results in another way.
